Zoom!2® is a bleaching process which lightens discolouration of enamel and dentin.
The active ingredient in Zoom!2's® light-activated whitening gel is hydrogen peroxide. The Zoom!2® lamp activates the hydrogen peroxide, helping it penetrate the enamel and dentin of the teeth, bleaching away discolouration without changing the structure of the teeth. The light activation improves the effectiveness of the gel by 26% or more, resulting an average improvement of eight shades.
We begin the procedure by covering your lips and gums, leaving only your teeth exposed. We apply the Zoom!2® Whitening Gel to your teeth. The Zoom!2® lamp is turned on and the whitening process begins. In less than an hour your treatment is complete.
Yes. Extensive research and clinical studies have shown that whitening teeth is safe. Zoom!2®, like any tooth whitening product is not recommended for children under 13 years of age and pregnant or lactating women.
The treatment takes less than one hour.
Regular dental hygiene—brushing twice daily, and flossing regularly - plus occasional touch-ups with Zoom!2® Weekender or Nite White gel will keep your teeth their brightest.
Some patients may experience sensitivity during the treatment. The minimal heat generated by the Zoom!2® light is the usual source of discomfort. On rare occasions, patients may experience minor tingling sensations immediately after the procedure—these always dissipate.
Light sensitive individuals, including those undergoing PUVA therapy or other photochemotherapy, or patients with melanoma should not undergo the procedure. People taking light sensitive drugs or substances (over-the-counter, prescription or homeopathic) should consult their physician before booking. The Zoom!2® procedure is not recommended for children under 13 years of age and pregnant or lactating women.
